Why ‘Yard’? It’s the name of the pub our directors were sitting in when they made the decision to start their own business. We keep things simple!
Why work with us? We take our work and responsibilities very seriously, but ourselves – less so. Our teams are full of bright, creative and approachable people who are all experts at what they do, but won’t bombard you with unnecessary jargon or blindside you with long contracts, hidden fees or inflexible demands.
Founded in Cardiff by directors Stephan Briggs and Paul Newbury, who met while working at Lloyds Bank. After a number of not entirely positive experiences with other consultancies, and having had enough of the corporate culture - they spotted an opportunity to make a difference.
Shortly afterwards, we won our very first client, Sainsbury’s Bank. We’re still working with them over a decade later - here’s to the next decade!
Paul and Stephan founded SiteTagger Tagging Management Solution - helping UK and EU-based brands manage and deploy analytics, affiliate tracking and other digital marketing services.
After four years of success in Cardiff, we decided to branch out to another of the UK’s capital cities, opening our office in Edinburgh and launching our content and search services.
Following almost three years of success, with clients including Allianz, British Gas, Sainsbury’s, The Guardian, Time Out, ASDA and Boots, SiteTagger was acquired by BrightTag (now Signal)
This year Yard co-founded Edinburgh’s Device Lab, the UK’s first community testing lab. The venture officially opened later in the year with 46 devices across 16 different platforms.
Paul and Stephan founded VisScore Attribution Software - providing affordable, accessible and accurate marketing and customer reporting based around and including the foundations of algorithmic attribution modelling.
We won! Paul suited up to collect the ESTnet award for Company of the Year under £10 Million Turnover at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff.
Our celebratory streak continued with our win for Creative and Digital Business of the Year 2015 at the inaugural Cardiff Business Awards.
Time to rebrand! VisScore was officially relaunched and spun out as Cubed Attribution Intelligence. New and exciting clients include Birchbox and TSB.
Yard’s Finance Wales investment announced - an exciting injection of capital enabling us to continue to innovate and expand.
