Yard runs the 10k

8th September 2014 by Paul Newbury | News & Events

Well, it’s all over! All those weeks of training (or not) and a great effort fundraising have paid off and all 6 members of the Yard team completed the Cardiff 10K.

The atmosphere at the race was amazing with lots of supporters coming out to see the race including our colleagues Lisa and Jon! It was great to see them there shouting on the side-lines and we’d like to thank them for not making fun of us too much!

We have raised nearly £500 for Kidney Wales and a special mention needs to go to Euros Hogsden who raised £180 of our total! It’s such a massive achievement.

Back in work today, there are a couple of injuries (ouch!), two visits to A&E and it’s a bit more difficult to get in and out of our chairs.

We’d still like to raise as much money as possible, so if you would still like to donate you can still do so here: https://cardiff10k2014.everydayhero.com/uk/yard-runs-the-10k
Every penny counts!

Thanks to everyone for their support and their kind donations – it definitely kept us going especially on the hill at 8K!
