Yard are National Coding Week Award winners

3rd March 2016 by Lauren Pearson | Innovation

Last September, we took part in National Coding Week – joining companies and organisations all across the country who organised and held events focussed on offering adults an insight into digital industries.

We decided to host an afternoon workshop on responsive web design and our Senior Web Developer Radek Milcarz worked with our participants to help them understand why responsive web design is so important, as well as assisting them in creating their own responsive web pages.

This year marked the first year that the National Coding Week Awards took place and we were delighted on Tuesday 1st March to be announced as the winners of the Scotland category.  The organisers said of Yard’s entry:

“Yard Digital offered a workshop on responsive web design, this was very popular and places on the day long course were filled very quickly. What stood out for this entry was the company’s ethos. It has a clear and effective long-term strategy of “giving back” to the local community.”

We’re delighted to have been acknowledged and we’re looking forward to getting involved again later this year!
