Planet Earth Games

16th July 2020 by Collette Easton | Health & Wellbeing, News & Events

We are delighted to announce that we have partnered with not for profit organisation Planet Earth Games. Launched in 2019, Planet Earth Games is a world first multi sports event, with the environment at heart.

Here at Yard, we’ve long resonated that our people want to do more to help: each other, vulnerable sections of society,  the environment . We are proud to support charities that combat loneliness, and homelessness. We’re keen re-cyclersOur suppliers are also socially responsible, it feels good to all be in this together. Being in business means sharing the load, expertise and of course the benefits across the widest spectrum available however we can.  We’ve also committed to being the fittest digital agency in the land.  So we’re particularly excited to not only support, but get actively involved with Planet Earth Games, whose mantra is healthy people, healthy planet and are committed to:

  • Empowering people to develop an active relationship with the environment
  • Engaging people in innovative models of environmental sustainability and physical activity
  • Educating, informing and engaging people in best practice in environmental sustainability
  • Nurturing people’s enjoyment and understanding of the natural environment for improved wellbeing

These commitments resonate with us all here at Yard.

Planet Earth Games will be running virtually during August 2020.  There are 31 challenges, for everyday in August.  The challenges are fun, encouraging us all to get active. There are prizes up for grabs, with every challenge.  You can participate in as many or as little of these challenges as you fancy. Its free and its fun!  Participants of the games can sign up here to get involved.

Yard have set their challenge which we will alongside Planet Earth Games on our challenge day, and of course giving out a great prize. Watch this space, we shall be sharing further details later this month.

We really hope you get involved, we can’t wait to see the photos of participants – it looked like a lot of fun last year.
