Our favourite Valentine’s Day campaigns 2017

This February, brands are hurling their Valentine’s Day deals at us and everyone seems to be creating some sort of campaign around love. Although we don’t mind the cheesy ads, we’ve taken particular notice of a few different campaigns that have taken more of an inspiring and meaningful approach.

A Love Song (#ShowTheLove)

A follow on from their powerful campaign last year ‘I wish for you…’, The Climate Coalition are back to remind us of what we’ll be losing if we continue to ignore climate change and neglect our planet.

A Table to End Hunger

This Aussie campaign has to be our favourite by far. Along with some of Australia’s top restaurants, The Hunger Project are auctioning off tables for the 14th of February. All money raised will be going to organisations that empower the poorest of people in India, Africa and Bangladesh.

Love is Love

Lush are well known for their activism and commitment to equality, and this year they have created a simple yet powerful Valentine’s campaign focussing on supporting every kind of love. The series of photos posted across their social channels show both same-sex and heterosexual couples using the brand’s Valentine’s product range. But it’s much more than that, and perfectly evokes the purity and equality of love – just the reminder the world needs right now!

We think it’s great that brands are getting on board with Valentine’s Day and making the effort to do something worthwhile with their campaigns.
