Meet our Yardies. We’re a dedicated bunch of like-minded individuals growing rapidly because of our love for digital. Based in Edinburgh and Cardiff, we’re an award-winning agency, and we want you to meet the people that are integral to our success.

This month, meet Joanna Moska, our Sales Development Manager from our Edinburgh office and Chris Jenkins, our Development Team Manager based in Cardiff.

What’s the best thing about your job?

No day is the same!

What’s the biggest challenge you face in your job?

Speaking to senior contacts who a) haven’t heard about us before and b) receive tons of similar emails/calls daily… the main challenge is to cut through the noise, build trust and get them interested & excited about possibly working with us. There is a lot of resilience and chasing involved too!

When I’m not at work, I…

Read, catch up with friends and family, watch movies, listen to podcasts, study Swedish, drink hot chocolate, hang out at Edinburgh’s coffee shops and plan my next road trip.

What are your five top tracks of the moment?

  1. Matt Corby – No Ordinary Life
  2. Matt Corby – All Fired Up
  3. Miguel – Remind Me to Forget
  4. Dermot Kennedy – Young & Free
  5. Bastille – Quarter Past Midnight

Chris Jenkins, Development Team Manager

Name or what you like to be called:

Christopher Jenkins, but happy with just “Jenkins”. I had enough nicknames in school!

How long have you worked at Yard?

7 years, 3 months

What team are you in?

Development and Innovation

If you could take a fully funded year off- what would you do and where would you go?

I’d like to visit Japan, but then pretty much a split of sunny beach holidays and skiing.

Describe what your typical day looks like from start to finish.

Delegating as much work as possible to the wider team while remaining to look busy, and then annoying Harry Chan…

What projects are you working on at the moment?

  • British Gas Business Signal to Launch migration
  • RSA Awin implementation

What’s the best thing about your job?

Working with like-minded individuals and having the freedom to manage my team as I want. I also like being able to take on a project and just be left to work on it with no distractions.

When I’m not at work, I…

I spend far too much time watching Netflix or playing PlayStation.

What are your five top tracks of the moment?

I’m not a huge music fan, I tend to put on random playlists or stations and just let them run. Lately though, I’ve been hitting the Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington podcasts pretty hard.
