Figaro – Digital Marketing Conference 18th April London

23rd April 2013 by Nadine Pierce | News & Events

Yard Digital are regulars at Figaro events. They attract some great speakers from within the online community as well as attracting delegates from a huge range of industry sectors.

Figaro Digital - BP

This one was no different, held at the International Coffee Organisation  Conference Centre, which is a great venue. There were the usual gathering of 150 or so.

There was a full agenda with speakers including:  BBC’s VP of Social Media, Google’s eGaming Industry Manager, BSKYB’s Online Marketing Controller, Visit Cornwalls’ Digital Marketing Manager, Honda’s Social Media Manager, Harper Collins Marketing Manager and Macmillan’s Mobile Digital Project Manager.

Highlights for me…

The talk from Phil Guest from Peer Index on ‘Finding the Gold in Big Data’ and Great British Chef’s founder Ollie Lloyd talking about one of my favourite subjects #foodporn. Thankfully I had the foresight to eat well beforehand at lunch as I suspected I would be left ravenous otherwise. The Guardian’s Mobile Product Manager, Tom Grinsted along with Simon Kilby, Commercial Director at Absolute Radio also gave some great insights in their panel discussion.

Sadly, I had to shoot off to the ECMOD awards so I didn’t get to enjoy the after-event drinks reception – probably a relief for the livers of the Figaro crew who have been known, on occasion, to network the whole night. There was some great insights from the speakers and as always, a really friendly event. Looking forward to the next one!
