MeasureCamp is an open, free-to-attend unconference, different to any other Web Analytics Conference held around the world.

Last weekend, the first ever Welsh MeasureCamp was held at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, organised by  Yard’s very own Nathan Stockford, Dan Rees and Stephen Norman alongside Neale Denton, Phil Pearce, Jon Boon, Peter O’Neill, Charles Madean and David Gough.

The day kicked off at 9am sharp with the opening session, immediately followed by the usual scramble to fill up the session boards and attend the first talks of the day.

Sessions covered a wide range of topics, from introductory analytics and SEO strategies to data visualisation and ecommerce reports. There was even a topical presentation posing the question of whether analytics got Donald Trump elected.

In total, 85 analytics professionals attended 34 fantastic sessions over 7 hours. As sponsors, we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended and made it such a special event, and for anyone who is interested, the slides and materials from the day are gradually being collated here.

Here’s to the first of many Welsh MeasureCamps!
