Yard’s team of analysts and technical experts create and deliver tailored Analytics, Tag Management Systems and Optimisation training for beginner, intermediate and advanced level users. Our personalised training will allow your teams to have the confidence and knowledge to use the technologies that the business have invested in to access and view data, form marketing decisions and optimise your customers' experiences.

Using live data, Yard have provided tailored training to marketing and analysts teams across numerous leading brands including The National Lottery, British Gas, Sainsbury’s Bank, BGL Group, Skipton Building Society, EMAP, The Independent and The Evening Standard.

Below are more details on the Analytics training provided for both Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics. Currently, our bite-sized sessions are structured for remote delivery, however, on-site training (our primary method of training prior to the pandemic) can be facilitated if company policies allow. All sessions require some participant interaction.

Adobe Analytics training

Beginner training

Session 1 - Analytics introduction (2 hours)

  • Covers terminology, user interface, explain how tracking works and basic reports run through.

Session 2 - Workspace (2 hours)

  • Covers creating segments, calculated metrics and different visualisations.

Session 3 - Exports, alerts & other tools (3 hours)

  • Covers different ways of exporting, setting up alerts, scheduling reports & using report builder (excel plugin).

Advanced Training

Session 1 - Analytics admin section & report suite set up (2 hours)

  • Covers the report suite admin section and the set-up of the report suites and virtual report suites.

Session 2 - Classifications & data imports (2 hours)

  • Covers different ways of setting up classifications and different ways of importing data.

Session 3 – Analytics admin section & other tools (3 hours)

  • Covers the admin section, tools used to view hits in the browser & the lesser used tools in analytics.

Google Analytics 4 training

Beginner Training

Session 1 - Analytics introduction (2 hours)

  • Covers terminology, user interface, explain how tracking works and basic reports run through.

Session 2 – Tracking and goals setting (2 hours)

  • Campaign tracking, events (creation, user properties, parameter values), dimensions goals (conversion tracking).

Session 3 – Data studio (3 hours)

  • Adding data, visualisations, custom dimensions and metrics, blend data, date comparisons filters, segments, adding parameters & fields.

Advanced Training

Session 1 - Analytics admin & property/view set up (2 hours)

  • Covers the property admin section and the setup of different views, best practices, filters needed, etc.

Session 2 – User management, channels, custom dimension usage/setup (2 hours)

  • Covers managing your users, your attribution channels, & creating/using custom dimensions.

Session 3 - GA4 overview, viewing/debugging the hits on-site & other tools (3 hours)

  • Gives a brief overview of GA4, de-bugging GA hits on-site, & other miscellaneous Admin functions.
