Websites are constantly evolving and upgrading. When sites move domain, change URLs or move from HTTP to HTTPS, we implement a migration to ensure that user journeys remain seamless, search (SEO) visibility is retained and site performance is not affected.
As part of our SEO and content work, Yard is involved in a lot of migrations, and in a recent review of our work we discovered that we had reached a milestone – we’ve just completed our 300th website migration!
The 300 domains involved span numerous verticals, industries and site types and we have dealt with almost every conceivable issue along the way.
Common issues that we come across include forgotten legacy websites from years before which still have SEO value but do not redirect, badly designed navigation and overly complex URL structures.
