Junior Test Analyst

THE BASICS:

Job Title: Junior Test Analyst
Location: Cardiff
Reports to: Data Services Manager

THE ROLE:

As part of your role as a junior test analyst, you will work alongside a vibrant team of analytical experts to execute and create test scripts and technical audits based on our client’s analytical capabilities.

As part of the wider team, you’ll work alongside the web analysts where you will gain a wider understanding of analytical tools such as Adobe and Google Analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:

  • Testing and validating analytics and marketing tags using a range of products such as Browserstack and ObservePoint.
  • Representing testing activities within the team.
  • Building and managing test cycles within our test management product Zephyr.
  • Performing technical audits (manually or using ObservePoint) of clients’ web analytics capabilities.
  • Identifying testing activities that are required, both functional and nonfunctional.
  • Conducting testing tasks that are both manual and automated.
  • Working with the wider team in identifying cross over test scenarios across multiple applications and journeys.
  • Meeting development deadlines to ensure all the relevant testing is complete.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, developments and best-practices.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both business and technical areas and ability to communicate with peers, senior management and clients alike.
  • Basic knowledge of analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Basic analytical skills in identifying testing scenarios for both functional and nonfunctional testing.
  • Awareness of various automated tools such as Selenium.
  • Awareness of insight tools such Decibel Insight and Tableau.
  • A basic understanding of how Javascript and HTML works.
