Our new CRMO Collette Easton on becoming a Yardie

Collette is the first of a number of appointments that we are planning to make in order to support the delivery of our 2020 targets. She brings a great deal of industry expertise and commercial acumen with her to Yard, which will be invaluable to us as we continue to grow.

Collette took up the newly created position of Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer in August this year and has already got stuck into her chief responsibilities of driving our corporate development, marketing, pricing, revenue management and sales.

Collette on joining Yard:

I’ve spent 15 years working in and alongside agencies and clients and have been lucky enough to work with incredible teams that have allowed me to enjoy 2 successful acquisitions, from an agency to a global SaaS SEO technology company.

I’ve known of Yard for a number of years, and I am aware of their deserved reputation for providing exceptional data, content and SEO services to their clients – an impressive roster of national and global brands as well as closer to home charities and SMEs.

The senior leadership team and myself are like minded when it comes to the necessary values and ideals of those in the digital industry and, like Yard, I’m keen to be a frontrunner when it comes to technical marketing.

That’s why I’m thrilled to be joining Yard at this juncture, as they gear up for the next stage of growth following a fantastic few years. In order to do this I’ll be driving Yard in continuing to build the company’s teams, products, operational processes and procedures – ready for even bigger and better things.

Prior to taking the job  I was able to familiarise myself with the team and clients, spending many hours meeting and talking with people – which was really helpful.  The main thing that really comes across when you speak to one of the Yard team is what it means to be a ‘Yardie’ – that you’re part of a bunch of really smart, engaged people who genuinely love the job and the culture.

At Yard, the work and client relationships really matter to everyone at all levels of the business – something that really came across when I spoke to some of our existing clients to get an insight into the work we’re already doing.

There’s some great projects coming up for me to get my teeth into – scaling the business, deepening client relationships, further strengthening operational processes and protecting the company’s reputation by ensuring that great work continues to be delivered.

Both myself and the whole team are really excited for our plans over the coming months and years – after all,  being a Yardie comes (quite rightly) with a certain level of hard-earned pride.

Welcome to team Yard, Collette!
